Condition: minimal restorations along the border.

Warp: wool.

Weft: wool, two shoots after each row of knots.

Knotting: Ghiordes, 3680 knots per square dm.

 

The piece belongs to quite a known class of prayer rugs.

 

A homeycombed white field is decorated with a variety of multicoloured flowers.

 

In the border, the main band contains a remnant of the dragon’s head.

 

This superb piece stands out for the sharpness of design, for the brightness of colours, for the weaving’s finesse.
