The village of Ferahan is located in north west of Iran, not far from Arak. In the second half of XIX century it was one of the best known places for rugs manufactures.
A central medallion is inscribed in a wide red rhomboidal area within a nice daisies repetitive motive. The medallion’s rare green colour is typical of the Ferahan area and it was obtained by a mixture with copper’s sulphate.
The border is beautiful. The main band is based on a classical “herati pattern”.
