The town of Senneh, the today’s Sanaday, is located in western Iran and it is the capital of the Persian Kurdistan. Its rugs are famous for their fine weave and their detailed design.
The preciousness of this rug is even increased for having warp and wefts in silk with the result of a further fine knot. In this rug the chains have various colours and they are so called “pange rangh” (in Persian “five colours”).
The field is decorate with elegant repeated botehs within a beautiful “herati” border in its “turtle” variation.
